At first, I thought that Blue Bird up top was this bus here:

http://members.aol.com/njtbus/Mtpleas4.htm

But then I saw that the Mt. Pleasant unit had 4-ways, among other differences... Either way, I love the chrome on it.

These Buses are unique in customization. Do not mistake them with some School Buses from your area.

Here Wayne Buses are very popular, no matter their age.We have some nice and well put together Waynes that will make you rethink what you think about Waynes.

I have over 80 pictures that I will put here soon....

Is there any particular reason these buses have yellow light bars on them? I'm just curious is that a requirement?

WOW. You sure have some NICE buses down there. Are the School buses still used as SBs, or just for racing? And, the orange light bars are for what purpose?

There is no particular reason for the use of the LIGHT BARS on School Buses. But when driving at night or in a bad weather situation, the use of the LIGHT BAR can advertise other drivers that a School Bus or Truck is near by.

This is all about customization, I personally do not like the use of those light bars over the top of a School Bus (Well maybe on Waynes because of their much flatter roof)

Those School Buses are still used for School Transportation, Tours and other collective transportaton activities such as Chartered Trips or Excursions.

This are not "racing" Buses they are only displayed on the 1/4 mile once a year on our local DIESEL NATIONALS.

But if you get to the staging line and beleive you are driving a Race car, well you will end up braking your Bus like the guy from the picture of the International- Carpenter, wich broke off its drive shaft.

Nice buses. I would go for the 1990's international Blue-Bird or 2000's Freightliner Thomas!

I like the light bars on buses.

The owners of the School Buses such as Lelo's Bus Line, López Bus Line and Gomez Bus Line are the ones who put all the money for the customization and up-fit of all this School Buses.

If you happened to notice, the most modern School Buses we are getting here are FREIGHTLINER /THOMAS FS65s that "BUS LINE" owners buy used in the U.S.A. We do not have the good fortune of driving more modern School Buses, only Goverment and local Municipalities get the chance to buy brand new School Buses.I am waiting for the keys of my modern School Bus because I work for my Local Municipal Goverment as a Truck Driver /School Bus Driver.

Maybe you will be lucky enough and see or Drag Racing School Bus on your own USA DIESEL NATIONALS nex year.

The pictures I displayed on this site are for your enjoyment and so you can see how School Buses are here in good 'ol Puerto Rico. But not all of our School Buses are cuztomized that way, there still many more that are the traditional School Bus look.

I will get soon a 1988 INTERNATIONAL / WAYNE...

Finally... Wayne buses are done some justice! I love it! Espeically the IHC S-model/Waynes. It may just be me, but the IHC S-model/Wayne from Feliciano Bus Lines (#5) looks like it has a Wolfington sticker on it beside the Service Door. Was this Bus originally from PA, possibly? That would be AWESOME!
