American Logistics to help serve Texas districts
The special-needs transportation management company has partnered with Innovative Transportation Solutions with the goal of improving services and reducing transportation costs for school districts statewide.
SANTA ANA, Calif. — American Logistics Co. (ALC) has partnered with Innovative Transportation Solutions (ITS), a division of the Region 4 Education Service Center in Houston, to help provide efficient and cost-effective special-needs transportation solutions for Texas school districts.
“ITS is pleased to be able to recommend ALC’s time-tested and proven pupil transportation solutions to the school districts that we serve,” said Charley Kennington, director of ITS. “ALC’s innovative business model, which uses a variety of vehicles, is uniquely suited for hard-to-serve bus routes that include isolated families, students with special needs or homeless students.”
ALC uses its proprietary trip optimization technology, ParaMax, and Intelligent Transportation System to help reduce transportation costs and improve service.
The company’s ParaMax technology runs real-time route optimization algorithms on data provided by the school district to maximize route productivity and vehicle utilization, “right sizing” trips.
“We are honored that ITS has chosen to partner with ALC,” said Craig Puckett, president of ALC. “Charley and his team at ITS have an incredible reputation for helping school districts indentify transportation solutions that improve service levels and increase efficiencies while providing a cost savings, and we are pleased to be designated as one of their recommended vendors.”
