David O’Keeffe and Jacquelyn Turner of Clayton County Schools placed first during the 13th National Special Needs Team Safety Roadeo. Tammy Robinson and Tammy Labaro of Moravia (N.Y.) Central School District placed second, and Tyrone Pickney and Thomas Orr of Jasper County Schools in Ridgeland, S.C., placed third.

The small bus sustained only minor damage and none of the eight passengers suffered any injuries. One of the bus' mirrors may have snagged a support wire, causing the pole to break and fall.
