Trace Technologies Inc.’s (tti) Buddy NightOwl high definition mobile video camera system now comes with a heavy-duty steel lockbox to protect the video SD card for tamper-proof security, company officials said.

This highly durable and versatile bus fleet camera also uses customers’ own Windows Media Player or Mac VLC players to view the video clips, making it easy to use, according to the company. Additionally, with bulkhead mounting, the camera system can be positioned anywhere in the bus.

Buddy NightOwl records HD video onto an SD card and is powered either via the cigarette lighter socket, radio or vehicle battery. Officials said that many customers choose to order extra mounting brackets so every vehicle in the fleet is fitted and then buy a number of cameras to rotate within the fleet.
