NAPLES, Fla. — A sixth-grade student reportedly stopped a school bus Tuesday after the driver suffered an apparent heart attack behind the wheel, the Naples Daily News reports.

Jackson Bonar, an Oakridge Middle School student, was the last person on the bus when Robert W. Kelly lost control of the vehicle. Bonar said Kelly made a strange face and fell against the window, prompting the 11-year-old to jump out of his seat, hit the brakes and steer the bus into a chain-link fence.

Kelly was still was alive and conscious when he was taken to the hospital.
