The Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) is offering a new one-hour online course, “Accident Avoidance for School Bus Drivers.”

The course is an interactive education tool to teach Texas bus drivers how to recognize hazards and determine preventive measures in order to avoid collisions.

Topics include pre-driving preparation, dealing with adverse road conditions, avoiding common driver errors and dealing with tire blowout or brake failure. It also covers best practices at railroad crossings, in higher elevations and when driving at night or in city traffic.

For more information, visit TEEX’s website.
