Florida Fish and Wildlife officials believe the bear is young and in search of new territory. Residents say the bear was walking down the street in the morning and, if it had been a school day, children could have been in danger.
SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A bear was spotted at a bus stop here, worrying residents about the safety of students riding the bus, according to a story on wftv.com.
The bear, which was captured by a resident's security camera wandering on the street Sunday, is believed to have crossed four highways to get to the neighborhood. Florida Fish and Wildlife officials believe it was a young bear looking for new territory.
The bear was spotted walking down the street at 6:39 a.m., according to resident Iris White. White suggested that if it had been a school day, the children heading to the bus stop could have been in danger.
