MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. — School District of Manatee County students will be allowed to use computers and other electronics on the school bus at the start of school on Aug. 22.
The district's school board recently voted to end the ban on using iPads and laptops on buses, 13 News reports. The change was in response to suggestions from school principals that the ban prevented students from working on homework while traveling to and from school.
The bus drivers will decide when electronic devices are allowed to be used.
