HOUSTON — A school bus driver for Houston Independent School District was injured on Monday after she became pinned between two buses during her morning pre-trip inspection.

According to district officials, the driver was outside of her bus inspecting it when she saw it start to roll toward another bus that was alongside hers. As she tried to jump into her bus to stop it, she became trapped between the two buses, KTRK reports.

A co-worker went through the back door of the bus that the driver had been inspecting and carefully moved it away from the second bus.

The injured driver was taken to a hospital to be checked out. She was conscious and alert when she was transported, according to the news source.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
