JACKSON, Miss. — A man intentionally crashed his vehicle into a school bus carrying about a dozen Power APAC Elementary school students on Wednesday. The students and driver were not injured in the incident, and were able to continue on to school as usual.

Kendronikus Powell, 21, swerved his 2000 Nissan Maxima in front of the bus and repeatedly hit his brakes, Clarionledger.com reports. He then put his car into reverse and crashed into the bus.

Powell was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center after the accident, complaining of pain. His mother told police that he suffered from a mental condition.

Parents of the students riding the bus were notified of the incident.
