LAUREL, Miss. — After an accident in which a kindergartner was struck and killed by a passing motorist, Jones County School District's transportation department has developed two new safety programs for students and parents, the Laurel Leader-Call reports.

It breaks my heart every time I read this type of trajedies. Here in California the school bus driver is required to escort all students up to the height grade. Good luck in the new program developed for the sake of all those little angels.
