John Barrington joins Lion Bus as sales exec

MONTREAL — John Barrington has joined Lion Bus Inc. as vice president of sales and compliance for the U.S., the company announced earlier this week.
Barrington will be responsible for Lion Bus sales and distribution in the U.S., and specific product compliance per region.
“We are very proud to make the announcement today that we have secured a very seasoned school bus business executive who is a passionate leader and a recognized industry expert with a proven record of success,” Lion Bus President Marc Bedard said. “Adding John to our team will strengthen our presence in the U.S. market and will enable us to increase the quality of our unique direct relationship with contractors, school districts and dealers.”
Barrington has had a successful career in the school bus industry that spans more than 20 years. He has held senior-level positions with IMMI/SafeGuard, Thomas Built Buses and Mid Bus, where he assumed key responsibilities in such areas as sales, product development and product compliance.
Barrington holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University and resides in Fishers, Ind.
