TORONTO — A missing boy was located on Monday afternoon after he ended up at the wrong school.

On Monday, the Toronto Police Service issued an alert that Angelo Epassa, 4, was missing. He had last been seen at about 8:15 that morning boarding a yellow school bus.

Police described Epassa and what he was wearing when he was last seen, and they asked for the public’s help in locating the boy.

“Police are concerned for his safety,” the Toronto Police Service alert said.

A few hours later on Monday, police announced that Epassa had been located at 3:50 p.m. at a school that was not the one he attended.

The Toronto Sun reported that Epassa boarded the wrong bus on Monday morning and ended up at a different French immersion school. Epassa’s parents said that the school he attends called them Monday morning to say that he was absent.

Toronto Police Sgt. Angelo Costa said that the boy may have been mistaken for one of the new students the school was expecting that day, the Toronto Sun reported.
