Bob Riley will retire next summer after nearly eight years as executive director of the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services (NASDPTS).

Before joining NASDPTS in the role in 2006, Riley was director of transportation for the School District of Palm Beach County (Fla.) for more than 12 years. Earlier in his career, he served as state pupil transportation director in Wyoming.

Riley’s retirement is expected to be effective June 30, 2014. With his departure, the NASDPTS board of directors is now searching for a new executive director for the association.
