MADISON, Ga. — The Morgan County Citizen reports that the Morgan County School System hired Brad Frink as its new transportation director to replace Director of Operations Bob Monk, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Since 2011, Frink has worked as a fire maintenance technician for the Athens-Clarke County Fire Department, inspecting, maintaining and repairing vehicles and performing nationally mandated fire pump testing.

Frink received his bachelor's degree in religion in 2004 from the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, where he also worked as facility manager for UGA Recreational Sports from 1999 to 2000. He also worked as maintenance supervisor and vehicle operator for UGA Campus Transit from 2000 to 2009.

Following Monk's retirement announcement, the school system administration decided to split the director of operations position into several parts, a move made due to financial constraints. Frink will begin his new position July 1.
