GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. — A 49-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly having sex with a juvenile, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) said.

The TBI’s investigation found that Jerry E. Malone, who was a school bus driver at the time, met two juveniles on Oct. 7 and provided alcohol to them. According to the TBI, Malone and the juveniles went to a residence, where one of them had sexual intercourse with him.

After conducting the investigation, the TBI presented the case to the Greene County Grand Jury, which returned an indictment against Malone.

Malone was arrested on one count each of statutory rape by an authority figure, aggravated statutory rape and purchasing alcoholic beverages for a child. He was charged and booked into the Greene County Jail on Wednesday on $30,000 bond.
