REDLANDS, Calif. — Transportation staff members for a school district here are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink shirts every Friday, Redlands Daily Facts reports.

Imogene "Vickey" Johnson, a bus driver for Redlands Unified School District and a two-time breast cancer survivor, spearheaded the effort to show support for others who are currently going through treatment or who have lost someone to the disease.

In addition to the Friday Pink Shirt campaign, Johnson founded her own organization — The Servants Reward — which delivers care packages to individuals going through cancer treatments.
