Dan Daniels, outgoing president of Trans Tech Bus, will join school bus seating manufacturer C.E. White Co. as vice president of engineering and product development.

As SBF reported last week, Daniels decided to leave his position at the Type A school bus manufacturer so that he can be closer to his family in the Midwest.

Daniels has been president of Trans Tech since 2007, and officials said that with the support of co-founders Bart Marksohn and John Corr, they have successfully developed and enhanced the Trans Tech brand.

“They have built the Trans Tech brand into a solid, respected bus manufacturer, with focus on quality and design,” said Tony Everett, president/CEO of The C.E. White Co.

Officials said that C.E. White and Trans Tech will partner in transitioning Daniels’ responsibilities over the next 120 days to Trans Tech’s new president, John Phraner, so that it is smooth and stable for Trans Tech customers.

“We are excited about this move,” Everett added. “Dan will begin a new era in product development at C.E. White, and he will continue to enhance our market leadership in product design, development and professionalism.”

This year, The C.E. White Co. is celebrating 75 years as a school bus and transportation seating manufacturer.
