ETOBICOKE, Ontario — Gord Taylor will soon leave his post on the Ontario School Bus Association's board of directors and will serve as CEO of the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services consortium.

Taylor recently announced his resignation from the association, as well as his resignation from his position at school bus contractor company Stock Transportation. Both are effective Sept. 24.

Taylor will begin his new role at the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services consortium on Nov. 1.

Taylor previously served as director and as two-term president of the Ontario School Bus Association. In these roles, officials said he “championed the implementation of the association’s strategic plan” and its “re-branding role going forward.”

Officials also said that he has had a thoughtful leadership style and a constant desire to assist all members to succeed in the new business environment.

In related news, Doug Herd advised the association of his resignation, which took effect Aug. 15. Herd chaired the association’s communications and outreach committee for two years, and during that time, officials said he advanced the association’s strategic plan and established several new initiatives, including the re-branding work.
