DALLAS — Tyler Technologies Inc. has released a new payment management solution for school districts that have implemented bus ridership fees.

Company officials said that Versatrans Pay to Ride provides tools to easily manage billing, invoicing and payment processing, all through an intuitive web-based interface for school districts and the families of their students.

Pay to Ride offers multiple payment options, including PayPal and credit and debit card payments. Parents can also pay by cash or check through an administration terminal accessed by district personnel.

Officials said that with Pay to Ride, enrollment plans are customizable, and districts have the flexibility of charging by quarter, semester or full year. They may also charge based on a flat rate or a per-student basis.

Additional plans can be added for fees associated with transporting students to and from activity and sports trips.

“Versatrans Pay to Ride is the only ridership payment manager that is part of a complete transportation management solution, providing the flexibility and scalability school transportation departments require,” said James Guzewich, president of Tyler’s Versatrans School Solution. “Our clients have relied on Versatrans’ industry leadership for nearly 30 years, and we will continue to deliver innovative solutions to the operational and financial challenges facing school districts across the country.”

Versatrans e-Link and Routing and Planning are required solutions for use of Versatrans Pay to Ride.
