REI software add-ons monitor fleet heath, video
The company's A.R.M.O.R.-Auto Pilot manages downloading, reporting and automated notification of video events, while A.R.M.O.R.-Diagnostics, a vehicle, DVR and camera diagnostics software tool, allows proactive monitoring of a fleet’s health status.
OMAHA, Neb. — Radio Engineering Industries Inc. (REI) has introduced two new wireless fleet software add-ons for its mobile video surveillance system.
A.R.M.O.R.-Auto Pilot manages wireless downloading, reporting and automated notification of video events defined by users, as well as video download requests made while the vehicle is off or in the lot.
The software tool allows a user to determine which events are reported, plus their urgency, while viewing the events in an easy-to-navigate environment. A.R.M.O.R.-Auto Pilot can be used over the web or within the operation's current IT infrastructure.
A.R.M.O.R.-Diagnostics is a vehicle, DVR and camera diagnostics software tool that allows proactive monitoring of a fleet’s health status. With the J1939 CAN-BUS option, users can monitor a vehicle’s health, including excessive idling through RPM detection, fuel usage, mechanical issues, check engine lights, tire and oil pressure, and historical maintenance records. Alerts can be sent via text to a phone or to an e-mail address.
Officials said that by combining A.R.M.O.R.-Auto Pilot and A.R.M.O.R.-Diagnostics into an existing REI mobile video surveillance system, users gain a comprehensive package with improved fleet management that saves time and money.
