LANSDALE, Pa. — The North Penn School District board on Tuesday will consider a proposal from administrators to hire a consultant to help manage the district’s school bus fleet, The Times Herald reports.
The proposal was brought to the table after two key transportation personnel left the department, and the district has not been able to fill the vacancies. Superintendent Curt Dietrich told the news source that utilizing the management services from a national company under a one-year agreement would enable the district to “tap into their expertise.”
He noted that no layoffs are planned and that the district would remain in control of the transportation department.
