WAYNE, N.J. — A local school bus driver has retired after serving 37 years behind the wheel, Wayne Today reports.

Richard Tagliabue also ran the Wayne township transportation safety education program for 15 years and was a state-certified driving instructor for 15 years. His most recent route at Wayne Public Schools was A.P. Terhune Elementary — which he did for 18 years — Schuyler-Colfax Middle School and Wayne Hills High School.

"He is a wonderful person and will be terribly missed by all of us," Robyn Kingston, a trustee for the Wayne Board of Education, told the news source.
