STA offers discount on magnet bus service
The contractor offers the discount on its SchoolWheels program to families in Jacksonville, Fla., whose children attend magnet schools within Duval County Public Schools. The discount price applies for the remainder of the 2011-12 school year and comes to $5.48 per day, or $559 total.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Student Transportation of America (STA) is offering a holiday discount on its SchoolWheels.com bus service for families in the Jacksonville area for the remainder of the 2011-12 school year.
The holiday discount price of $559 comes to $5.48 per day for access to the safest form of transportation to school. This promotion is available to new customers and will run through Jan. 22, 2012.
The company's SchoolWheels.com service began in July amid cuts in the transportation budget for magnet schools within Duval County Public Schools. STA set up the web-based service in order to help the thousands of students affected by these cuts, while allowing working parents, single parents and others to maintain their busy schedules, officials said.
