Transfinder to showcase attendance tracking module at conference
The new technology from the school transportation software provider will be on view at the company’s booth during the New York Association for Pupil Transportation’s 53rd Annual Conference and Trade Show next week. Officials say the module determines actual versus potential riders on a bus and a ridership trend can then be tracked.
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — School transportation software provider Transfinder will showcase its attendance tracking module, including an app for mobile devices such as the iPhone and iPad, at the New York Association for Pupil Transportation’s upcoming 53rd Annual Conference and Trade Show.
The conference will be held July 17 to 19 at the Saratoga Hilton and Saratoga City Center. Transfinder will showcase the attendance tracking module at its exhibit booth on July 18.
"This allows transportation managers to create greater efficiencies and cost savings in their overall operation,” Transfinder President and CEO Antonio Civitella said of the new technology. “Besides using our software to efficiently route their buses, they can now benefit from the attendance tracking module in our system to determine actual versus potential riders on each bus. Once a ridership trend is tracked and this data is incorporated into our system, it enables a transportation router to apply a ridership ratio that will increase the number of students assigned to a bus.”
Civitella added that the app, which is being developed for use on any mobile device, enables drivers and attendants to take attendance on their buses, which helps to track attendance each day.
Immediately following the conclusion of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation conference, Transfinder will showcase its solutions at a user meeting for the company's New York clients at the Saratoga Hilton.
