WARRENVILLE, Ill. — IC Bus LLC will hold a fall session of its IC Bus University training program for school bus technicians the week of Oct. 18, 2010, at its plant in Tulsa, Okla.

IC Bus University provides up to 43 hours of instruction. Attendees will receive 24 hours of instruction on engines, bus electrical and bus maintenance. This will be supplemented by two-hour evening sessions Monday through Thursday on full power brakes, Ricon and Braun lifts, and IC Bus air conditioning. Additionally, there will be three presentations during the lunch hour provided by Specialty Manufacturing, AkzoNobel on paint repair and maintenance, and Navistar parts.

A guided plant tour of the Tulsa facility is also included that focuses on the placement and location of critical components in a bus.

“We are gratified by the continuing interest in IC Bus University,” said John Thompson, training director for IC Bus. “Thus far, we have had students from as far away as American Samoa and from all over the United States and Canada. We are extremely proud of the quality of our offering and look forward to continuing this program for the October session and beyond.”

Technicians who are interested in attending IC Bus University should contact their local IC Bus dealer or Thompson at (501) 505-2287 or john.thompson@navistar.com.
