COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Southeastern States Pupil Transportation Conference (SESPTC) will convene here for its 60th edition this summer.

The SESPTC board announced Tuesday that the regional event, scheduled for July 11-14, will share its program and exhibits with the 2010 conference of the South Carolina Association for Pupil Transportation (SCAPT), which will be held concurrently.

“Our board is very pleased that SCAPT offered to join forces this year,” SESPTC President Leonard Swilley said. “In this economy, such partnerships make a lot of sense.”

In a departure from the schedule of past years, the conference will feature a one-day trade show on the morning of Tuesday, July 13. The trade show was previously held over two days.

Exhibits are being coordinated by Craig Leonard of Thomas Built Buses. Vendors will receive more information in early April.

Attendance at the SESPTC is coordinated through state pupil transportation directors. Registration details will be available in the spring.
