If applicants are not current members, Zonar will also cover the cost of NAPT membership. Any person who is currently employed by an organization that provides pupil transportation services is eligible to apply. Priority will be given to applicants who justify the scholarship as a determining factor in their ability to attend the summit.

A downloadable application for the scholarship is available on the NAPT Website, www.napt.org. Click on the “Conference Registration and Field Trip Scholarships Information” link on the home page, followed by the “Zonar Systems Endows 10 Scholarships for 2009 NAPT Annual Conference” link to access the application.

Eligible individuals can apply for the conference scholarship online from Sept. 1 through Oct. 1. A formal announcement of the scholarship winners will be made on Oct. 5.

“I am pleased to be working for a company that understands the importance of professional organizations and the work they do,” said Don Carnahan, Zonar’s vice president of business development for pupil transportation. “Zonar is committed to helping NAPT expand the range of opportunities and benefits it offers its members.”
