BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. — Thomas Built Buses dealer Matthews Buses Inc. has acquired Maybrook, N.Y.-based Quality Bus and Truck Sales.
With the acquisition, Matthews Buses has expanded its New York territory to include Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Rockland and Ulster counties.
The company now offers parts, service, warranty repairs, painting and bus sales to western, central and eastern New York through its four locations, including facilities in Ballston Spa, Syracuse, Dansville and Maybrook.
Matthews Buses has been a Thomas Built dealer in New York state since 1967. Last year, Matthews purchased select assets of Florida Bus Unlimited to serve markets in central and northern Florida through an Orlando-based dealership and mobile service units.
Florida Bus Unlimited and Quality Bus and Truck Sales were both Thomas Built bus dealers prior to being acquired by Matthews Buses.
