CONCORD, Mass. — Everyday Wireless has acquired Tizbi Inc., a Raleigh, N.C.-based software company that has developed products for school districts since 2003.

Company officials said the acquisition, which is valued at $5 million, will enable Everyday Wireless to better address the North American market for GPS-based student transportation solutions.

“This acquisition will empower our customers to get the maximum benefit from their GPS hardware investment,” said Jay Wurts, president and CEO of Everyday Wireless. “We have been working together with Tizbi on sales opportunities for the last year, so integration of the two companies will be quick and seamless.”

Everyday Wireless designs and manufactures school bus tracking and rider attendance software and equipment.
