Wheelchair securement module has low-profile design
Q’Straint introduced the Q’UBE, an integrated wheelchair securement module that can be installed or retrofitted in school buses. It has a low-profile design to fit under wheelchair footrests, and it can be permanently mounted to the vehicle floor or installed on transit barriers or seat legs with full adjustability. The Q’UBE features the XPress Mechanical Delay System. An easy-to-reach, single-motion release mechanism has a positive locked and unlocked position, giving the user 15 seconds to properly position and secure the rear of the wheelchair. Self-tensioning and self-locking rear securements with J-hooks prevent the securements from becoming twisted and tangled. The Q’UBE also features retractable occupant belts.

DVR can record 90-plus hours of footage on four channels
Safety Vision introduced a new mobile digital video recorder (DVR) called the RouteRecorder 4C SD. Company officials said that this system records up to four video and four audio channels in H.264 format; more than 90 hours of footage can be recorded from the cameras on a 32 gigabyte SD (Secure Digital) card. Data can be retrieved wirelessly or manually, and the RouteRecorder 4C SD system is compatible with Safety Vision’s SafetyView 3.1 viewing software. An optional panic button for the DVR can be used to mark events for easy searching and identification, and a password-protected user interface with an integrated locking door eliminates the need for an external lock box.
