PINEVILLE, N.C. — Specialty Manufacturing Inc. has completed the purchase of Detroit-based bus components supplier Transpec Worldwide Inc. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Since June 2006, Specialty has also partnered with private equity firm Century Park Capital Partners as well as Pretoria Transit Interiors.
Specialty is a supplier of safety components, lighting systems and accessories to the school, transit and commercial transportation markets.
Transpec is a designer and manufacturer of bus components and systems for the school bus and commercial transit bus industries.
