RALEIGH, N.C. — SEA International has created a one-day symposium on alternative-fuel technology for school buses that will be held here on Dec. 5.

According to organizers, the event aims to help attendees “make properly informed decisions about the pros and cons of converting their buses to either hybrid electric, propane or compressed natural gas technology.”

The event, dubbed the SAE 2011 School Bus Powertrain Innovation Symposium, will include presentations from school bus fleet managers, school officials, OEMs and suppliers. Also on the agenda are a grant writing workshop and a ride-along.
