WASHINGTON, D.C. — School bus contractors are discussing key issues with congressional representatives here on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of the National School Transportation Association (NSTA)’s annual Capitol Hill Spring Bus-In.
The two-day event includes meetings with congressmen and senators, NSTA committee meetings, and a reception with members of Congress and their staff.
"We are excited to welcome our members to Washington, D.C., once again,” NSTA President Tim Flood said. “Meeting with federally elected officials and discussing our most pressing issues is critical to our continued success."
NSTA's quarterly meetings are being held on Tuesday, along with a group dinner and keynote speaker. Congressman John Mica is slated to speak on transportation and other issues.
On Wednesday, NSTA members have more than 190 individual Capitol Hill meetings with congressional representatives, organized by Prime Policy Group.
