N.Y. association names top technician

First Student Service Manager and technician Matt Gould has been honored for his skills as a technician by the Central New York Association for Pupil Transportation. The association named Gould its 2012 Technician of the Year. Officials said the annual award recognizes a school transportation professional who works to ensure a safe and efficient school bus ride. “Matt understands the tremendous responsibility parents place in us to safely and securely transport their children to and from school,” said Ty Worrell, First Student location manager. “The award is a testament to his hard work and dedication to make sure our buses are maintained at the highest levels.” Gould has been a technician with First Student since 2005. He received the award last month during a ceremony in Syracuse, N.Y.
