CAROL STREAM, Ill. — Illinois Central School Bus is preparing to open a new facility here before school begins.

The facility — which will include a bus storage lot, offices and a maintenance area — will have room for parking up to 120 school buses, the Daily Herald reports. The village board granted zoning approvals for the facility this week.

Plans for the facility include the installation of a 2,500-gallon diesel fuel tank and possible future expansion if needed, officials said. About 100 bus drivers and 10 to 15 office and maintenance staff members will operate out of the facility.

This summer, Illinois Central School Bus was awarded transportation contracts for four school districts. The company intends to use the Carol Stream site as its base of operations, officials told the Daily Herald.

You must have gotten fired from ICSB for being un-professional. This is a very respectful company in my community and does a wonderful job with our students.

Posting negative comments like this will only deter possible new employees from applying for a position as a driver or an attendant. Driver shortages are not only affecting ICSB/NASB, but also First Student and Durham and so on. We strive to provide our customers with best service can provide. Our service is top notch! I know this from 10 professional years in the industry!
