WARRENVILLE, Ill. — Durham School Services and Stock Transportation will celebrate employee appreciation this month by recognizing their more than 20,000 school bus drivers and support staff for their continued commitment to safely transporting students.

Employees will be given lanyards as a token of appreciation with the logo for Durham and Stock’s new employee relations program, Enjoy the Ride.

The program was developed to increase acknowledgment of the efforts and contributions employees make to the organization. It has various components in place to recognize safety, celebrate service, further develop employees and encourage involvement in the community.

“Enjoy the Ride is the name of the program, but it also represents how we want employees to feel about their job,” said Michele McDermott, senior vice president of human resources. “Our people are at the heart of our business. Employee appreciation day gives us another formal opportunity to thank and celebrate our employees for what they do every day.”

Durham and Stock make up National Express Corp., which is the North American subsidiary of U.K.-based National Express Group PLC.
