First Student names new contract manager
Dennis Ryan is promoted to the position for the company's Niles, Mich., location. Ryan manages all aspects of daily transportation operations, including maintenance, safety and training.
CINCINNATI — First Student has named Dennis Ryan contract manager for the company's Niles, Mich., location. The location serves Niles Community Schools.
Ryan, a longtime resident of Niles, manages all aspects of daily transportation operations for the location, including maintenance, safety and training. He first joined the company in 2008, and was most recently operations supervisor for the Niles location.
"Dennis has been with us for two years and has already proven to be a tremendous asset to the team," said Doug Meek, region operations manager for First Student. "As a Niles resident, he is dedicated to taking an active role in the community and ensuring the safe transportation for the students in the district."
Ryan brings more than 25 years of transportation management and logistics experience to his new position. Prior to working at First Student, he was the director of transportation for Truck Accessories Group LLC in Elkhart, Ind.
