DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Spectators of the Daytona 500 over the weekend were offered rides on First Student buses.

First Student Charter Bus Rental, the school bus contractor's charter service division, provided free shuttle service for fans attending the 2011 Daytona 500 auto race and its companion races.

The event was held Friday through Sunday at the Daytona International Speedway.

More than 300 buses and drivers from First Student’s Jacksonville, Fla., and Savannah, Ga., locations were used to transport spectators between the race track and two of its parking lots.

This marks the third year that First Student has partnered with Gameday Management Group to provide transportation for the event. The companies will also provide shuttle service for the track’s July 2011 Coke Zero 400.
