First Student acquires G&G Bus Service

CINCINNATI — First Student Inc. has acquired Florida, N.Y.-based G&G Bus Service, a privately-owned company that was established in 1953.

With the acquisition, First Student gained 62 school buses and management of all of G&G’s student transportation contracts.

Moreover, all 53 people previously employed by G&G, including drivers, mechanics, administrative staff and bus attendants, were transferred to First Student employment.

Customers whose business was transferred to First Student include several New York school districts as well as Schenectady, N.Y.-based Agri-Business Child Development.
