MUSCATINE, Iowa — The base prices of Bridgestone brand bus and truck radial tires are being increased up to 6 percent in the U.S.
Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) announced that the increase went into effect today.
The company “continues to look for ways to balance costs and continue to deliver a premium package of value to our dealer and fleet customers,” said Kurt Danielson, vice president of sales and marketing. “Today, however, we have reached a point where we must pass along some of the increased costs that are outside of our control.”
Those increased costs include energy, fuel and raw materials, Danielson said.
BBTS manufactures medium and heavy duty truck tires for the original equipment and replacement markets in the U.S. and Canada. It also offers retreading through its Bandag brand.
