NORCROSS, Ga. — Following an extensive review and product testing process, AkzoNobel Vehicle Refinishes Americas has become the approved paint supplier for IC Bus, which is a wholly owned affiliate of Navistar.

“With AkzoNobel being our long-term partner at International Truck, we feel they have the product knowledge and innovative ideas to help us meet our goals for IC Bus,” said Ray Vargocko, supply manager of purchasing and logistics for Navistar. “Our goals include continuous cost reduction initiatives, improved process efficiencies and continued customer satisfaction. We feel AkzoNobel has the right products to meet our goals as a corporation.”

David Davis, manager of commercial sales for AkzoNobel, noted, “It is probably one of the most thorough review processes we have ever been through. Knowing that we were positioned with so many stellar competitors makes the ultimate decision even more gratifying.” Davis added, “As the world’s largest coating supplier, we know that we have a high set of standards to live up to. It is our good fortune to be able to represent an extraordinary caliber of paint technology, application knowledge and skilled staff to bring proof to those expectations.”
