WARRENVILLE, Ill. — IC Bus has released details about the spring session of its IC University training, to be held at the company’s Tulsa, Okla., bus plant the weeks of March 23, April 13 and May 18.

The class will have the following schedule each week:

Monday: The first half-day will be spent in the Tulsa plant observing bus construction.

Tuesday through Thursday: Attendees will be split into three groups and will cycle through three eight-hour classes on engines, body/chassis electrical and bus maintenance.

Friday: Attendees will go through a four-hour class on Allison transmissions.

In addition, there will be lunch presentations by various IC Bus vendors Tuesday through Thursday, as well as evening presentations Monday through Thursday at the host hotel.

Attendees will be credited for 32 hours of training through IC parent company Navistar International Corp., but they can receive as much as 47 hours if they attend all of the evening sessions.

Cost for the class is $300 per person, and attendees must obtain a voucher from their IC Bus dealer. To register, go to www.navistareducation.com and then select the IC University classes listed in the course catalog.

When enrolling online, attendees can register for the host hotel by clicking on the “launch” tab. Or, call the Doubletree Hotel at Warren Place directly at (918) 495-1000. An $89 rate can be obtained by using the codes IC 1, IC 2 or IC 3, depending on the week of attendance.
