Last spring, North Carolina pupil transportation director Derek Graham and his colleague James Hawkins (who passed away in June — see the obituary on pg. 93 of the November 2010 issue) were driving to a school district in eastern North Carolina when Hawkins spotted these blinds sitting on farmland at the end of a driveway. (Blinds are used to camouflage hunters from ducks or deer.)
